The Cleopatra is a smooth-driving performance log with a refined outline, responsive turning ability and dependable nose riding.
Its continuous rocker flows from the centre towards both the nose and tail, giving the board a connected, controlled feeling through the wave. With the wide point set slightly further back and a pulled-in nose, it feels composed in trim while remaining lively and responsive when surfed from the tail.
The Cleopatra is versatile across a wide range of conditions and is especially suited to surfers who want a log that can flow smoothly, turn with purpose and nose ride high and tight in the pocket.
Stevie’s Notes
The Cleopatra was originally created for 'Die Seekat' Ludi and hand-shaped by my dad, Des. That original shape was later turned into a cut file so we could preserve the design and continue refining the model.
The original board is kept in California, and it has become a real favourite.
It is one of the smoothest-driving boards in the range. The rocker runs continuously from the centre towards both ends, with the wide point set further back and a more pulled-in nose.
That gives it a smooth, connected feeling through the wave, but it still has plenty of spice through the turns. It likes to be nose ridden high and tight in the pocket and stays reliable across all sorts of waves.
