The Brasil is Steven’s go-to competition log - a fast, responsive performance board built for progressive surfing from the nose to the tail.
It combines smooth trim and dependable nose riding with the speed, control and responsiveness needed for high-level competition surfing. Lively underfoot and reliable through critical sections, the Brasil allows the surfer to move confidently between the nose, rail and tail without losing flow.
This is the board Steven continues to return to when performance matters most.
Stevie’s Notes
The Brasil was named after the board I rode to second place at the Duct Tape event in Brazil.
Since then, it has become my go-to competition board. I won the 2024 WSL wave-pool event on it, finished runner-up in 2025, won the South African Championships and won the WSL Africa event on this model.
This board is hot at the moment. It nose rides incredibly well, carries speed through the section and still gives you the response you need when you step back and surf it hard off the tail.
It has the glide and flow of a log, but it is built for performance. For me, it is one of the best all-round competition logs I have surfed.
