Model Overview
The Log Rap is a high-speed single-fin performance log designed to trim through fast sections, sit tightly in the pocket and feel lively beneath your feet.
With a lower entry rocker, a pulled-in nose and a wide point positioned slightly further back, the board carries speed effortlessly from the front third. The rails remain more parallel through the middle and towards the nose, helping it maintain a clean trim line before pulling into a more refined, responsive tail.
Lighter and more performance-orientated than a traditional log, the Log Rap is made for surfers who want dependable nose riding without losing speed, turning ability or responsiveness from the tail. It excels in fast-running point breaks and playful beach breaks where it can connect changing sections and keep moving.
Stevie’s Notes
This was the board I rode at the 2021 Malibu event.
It has a lower entry rocker for faster trim and a pulled-in nose that brings the wide point slightly further back. The rail line stays more parallel from the middle towards the nose, before pulling down into a more refined tail.
When you stand in the front third, the board has incredible gliding speed. It can pull you through almost any section - even when the wave is tiny. It has much more speed than a traditional log. It is basically a log on gas.
The board nose rides well out on the shoulder, but in the section it is unbeatable. It pulls into the pocket, holds its line and lets you stay high and tight through faster parts of the wave.
The tail is fairly bladed out, so when you step back, the nose lifts cleanly and the board pivots quickly. It also has a more performance-orientated rail, closer to a 65/35 rail than the traditional 50/50 rail you would normally find on a classic log.
It is incredibly fun in beach breaks because it can trim through changing sections, but it also loves fast-running point waves like Malibu. Find a wave with an even pace and this board will let you stay on the nose for most of the ride.
